Mechanical engineer graduated by the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), postgraduated in Equipment Engineering and a master’s in business administration (MBA). With 15 years of experience in the upstream and downstream segments of the Oil and Gas Industry, in the areas of Rotating Equipment Maintenance and Reliability engineering, he is currently in charge of the management of the Equipment Reliability department in MODEC, responsible for the reliability of Rotating and Electrical Equipment, Instrumentation and Automation Systems.

Jay Chance works for the the Bid Management group within Siemens Energy’s Americas Sales division and his responsibilities include developing turbocompression solutions for use in onshore and opffshore production facilities. Jay has a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University in Houston, TX. His career commenced with Amoco Production Company in 1995 where he worked as a facilities engineer in onshore production facilities. He later joined Siemens Energy where he has worked in developing solutions for motor and gas turbine driven centrifugal compressors for the past 25 years.
